LIFE IS UGLY

Are you tired of living a life of sin? Are you sick of feeling alone in your situation? Have you become fed up with being entangled by the same lusts, addictions, iniquities, and bondage?

I'M LOST. I NEED A SOLUTION

Do you want to be saved? God is faithful, and He will meet you right where you are in your situation. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us (1 John 1:8). If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to firgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

ENOUGH ALREADY...I WANNA BE SAVED RIGHT NOW!!!

If you would like to ask God into your heart and receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, all you have to do is pray the following prayer...and mean it:"Dear God, I am turning away from my sins, and I ask you to forgive me. I confess with my mouth and believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is your Son. I believe that He sacrificed His life on the cross to erase away my sins and that He arose three days later so that I may have eternal life. Lord Jesus, I invite you into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Please direct my path and allow me to become closer to You. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!" (Romans 10:9)

COOL, I'M SAVED....NOW I CAN DO WHATEVER I WANT, RIGHT?

Wrong. It's awesome that you've accepted Jesus into your life, but that does not give you an excuse to continue doing what you were doing. Repentance and salvation go further than saying a prayer. Now you've gotta live the life God intended for you. God has erased your sins and granted you freedom, but this freedom is not for you to go back to living like a maniac (Galations 5:1, 13).

OK...SO NOW WHAT?

Now it's time to grow your faith and relationship with God. Getting closer to God requires  talking to Him (praying) (1 Thessalonians 5:17) and studying the Holy Bible (2 Timothy 2:15). Don't know what to pray about? Pray about anything and everything. Thank God for what He's done for you, tell Him about your day, let Him know what's going on in your life...what you're stressing about...what makes you happy, what makes you mad...pray for the well-being of other people in your life, etc. Just make sure you say "in the name of Jesus" when you pray, because the only way to get to God is through His Son Jesus Christ (John 14:6)

Tell someone about your decision to come to Christ. Don't hide it! This is a wonderful thing! Find a faithful pastor and church to attend who are teaching the Word of God (not the opinion of man). This will help you grow tremendously in your faith, and it will give you an accountability to help you stay on track.

BUT, WHAT IF I SIN AGAIN?

No one is perfect, and we have all sinned (1 John 1:8). The great thing about God is that He is gracious. He knows that we as humans mess up all the time. In spite of our imperfections, He allows us to repent and start all over when we sin. When you fall in sin, just ask God for forgiveness and get back up again. This is not, however, a license to take advantage of God and keep doing the same sin over and over just because you know He will forgive you. Make a real effort to decrease the pattern of sin in your life, and God will reward you.
